thotseries • 2 yr. ago. The Mi10T pro doesn't have proximity sensor, xiaomi called it "ultrasonic sensor" but its just relying on the gyroscope/motion sensor to act as a proximity sensor. 1. diskinn • 2 yr. ago. its relying on the upper mic, the speaker and on the gyroscope/motion sensor, during a call the speaker sends an ultrasonic signal
The sensor worked fine ( i think ) until i installed a temperd glass . When i put the glass " perfect " the sensor not worked then i moved the glass down , and is working , but not 100 % . In call i must find a position , an in my pocket not seek to work . I use a Wozinsky Super Tough for Xiaomi Mi 9T & Mi 9T Pro, Full Screen, Full Glue. Note 11 doesn't have a hardware based proximity sensor. Instead, it uses software context and other data (like ultrasound and maybe the front camera) to detect proximity, something called "AI Virtual Proximity Sensor". It has been used in some Xiaomi devices since 2016-2017. In some devices, software (MIUI bugs) made the proximity sensor work Proximity sensor issues. These are not the first Xiaomi mobiles that face this problem, previously we have also seen how when making calls sometimes the proximity sensor does not work as it should and we are forced to think of solutions. In this case, the Redmi Note 9 are the most affected since a message appears on the screen as if we were continuously covering the sensor. In that case, I'll wait for the global launch and try the haptics out at a Xiaomi store (plenty of them here). I'm gunning for the regular 13 because of the flat screen lol. My S20 has decent (by Android standards) haptics. But the Pixel 6 that the OP is comparing against has iPhone-like haptics IIRC. dentistwithcavity.
Reboot the phone, set it up as a new one, and check if the proximity sensor issue is gone or not. Take it to a technician. If you can't hold on to a broken proximity sensor on Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro and want to fix it immediately, reporting it to a technician can help.
